Monotropism refers to the way that individuals allocate attention, with monotropic individuals tending to focus more detailed attention on a smaller number of things at a time. Hanna weaves in conversations and quotes from monotropic thinkers as well as drawing on her own lived experience and delves into what monotropism means for autistic wellbeing including topics like flow, autistic inertia and burnout.
